On this site, I want to tell you who I am and especially what I want:
Yannick Paredis to the top in para table tennis.
From the age of 5, my body started making strange movements out of nowhere, which I couldn't control. The diagnosis "generalized dystonia" was made. A rare neurological condition that didn't bode well at a young age.
The condition became increasingly visible in the following years due to uncontrolled movements. At the age of eight, I received a brain stimulator, which sends electrical signals to the brain to suppress the symptoms.
The treatment is a success and has allowed me to set a new goal:
to reach the Paralympic Games.
Reaching the Paralympic Games is an intensive and long journey with a lot of training.
I work very hard for my goal, but I can use all the help I can get.
